Guatemala, 2022
I was contacted by Pastor Melvin Poncio when they started gathering in his house. "It's just a small group of people", he said, "but I want them to feel identified with something". One small little seed became a big tree, and suddenly they grew to become a group that could no longer fit in a small house.
I wanted to incorporate two main ideas: a crown, because "Rey de Reyes" means "King of Kings" and this is the name of the church; but also a hovering dove, to represent the Holy Spirit which had guided them from that first small meeting in a room, all the way to having a church with many members, and meeting several times a week, the Holy Spirit was a big theme in our conversations with Pastor Melvin as we were coming up with ideas.
This Brand Guideline Manual was a special one, we couldn't be inspired by what normally inspires us, but I brought much of the images and figures of the Bible to the visual language of the brand.
They are now a church with many members, and recently they invited me to their second anniversary. I am honored to serve the body of Christ, by serving His children.
